Jim Jacobs, Owner

From Washington D.C. to San Francisco, Charlotte to Nashville, Jim has gained an extensive background in Sales, Programming, Engineering and Administration. His experience includes television, radio, and advertising. He still is one of Richmond’s favorite radio talk show hosts. His time as GM of Central VA’s largest multicultural broadcast group led ultimately to owning and operating his own FM/AM group, WREJ, Rejoice! FM/AM. Jim’s awards include an Addy, several AP News commendations, and assorted Richmond’s Best acknowledgments.

Billy Flynn, Operations Manager

Billy “the Fact Man” Flynn is the one when it comes to the day to day functioning of the station. His radio experience and creative savviness started in college and has led him to work at the Pentagon and several years at Davidson Media Group in Richmond. His computer skills and curiosity go hand in hand, as he will seek to resolve any problem or question that comes his way.

Randy Johnson, Host of “Afternoon Inspiration with Brother Randy,” Program & Music Director

Brother Randy has been in the entertainment business for years dating back to his days in the US Navy aboard The USS Carl Vinson CVN 70, volunteering with the Armed Forces Radio and Television Network and later at Norfolk State University. Randy was General Manager for Urban Gospel WHBS in Georgia and heard for years, nationally, as Afternoon and Overnight host on The Willis Broadcasting Network. In 2011, he was nominated for “Rhythm of Gospel, Radio Announcer of the Year” along with numerous Stellar Award nominations. As Program Director and Afternoon Host, at Rejoice, he has received many honors for our station that include 5 nominations as “Medium Market Radio Station of The Year,” most recently in 2018. Randy’s contagious personality will get you through the afternoon grogginess and dreaded drive home.

Cheryl Wilkerson, Account Executive & Public Service and Affairs

Her broadcasting career started with I Heart Entertainment in the Norfolk area until she moved to Richmond to work with Urban Gospel WGGM, and then on to Davidson Media Group. Cheryl has had several morning radio shows and even was the host of her own television show, Cheryl Wilkerson Presents.

Gary Flowers, “The Gary Flowers Show,” 9-11 AM, M-F

From working with Reverend Jesse Jackson in Chicago to being CEO of the Black Leadership Forum in D.C., Gary has played an active role in social and political reform. His knowledge of local, national, global news and history will keep you intrigued. Bridges are constantly being built and crossed on Gary’s show. Gary’s fiery personality and passion for people and the issues we face play well to a diverse and responsive audience.
